Tuljak,
a reborn legend

This is where history meets contemporary design. This is where we let our passions run free.

Dear friends

We are a part of something big- the hospitality sector is like the heart of the people- offering memorable experiences on the special days of our lives and an escape from the everyday routine.

With a heavy heart we announce that our restaurants are currently closed. We took this decision in order to keep our employees safe and prioritize their health.

Finally, we would like to cite Rene Redzepi from the restaurant NOMA in Copenhagen: “We may be closing our restaurant for a short while, but we are not closing the doors to life, to friendship, to community, or to each other. We will be together every step of the way.”

Through and through sophisticated, with copper accents. Like Tuljak’s fiery sunsets. Painted black. Like our velvety nights. Beautiful food.

Like only we know.

Tuljak, one of the undisputed materpieces of Estonian modernist architecture, was drawn by Valve Pormeistri, 1964. It’s was all about aesthetics of horizontal lines: the concrete terrace, dark glass façade and the dark wood cornice. The three dominating elements of the cafeteria building.

The original café’s – called Tuljak, what else – interior was a worthy extension to the exterior’s merit, and this is where the current interior design springs from too. The horizontal forms. The materials.

A reborn legend, yes, but equally a cultural monument. Recognised by the National Heritage Board as “Well-restored Monument” and “Best Restored Monument of The Year” by Tallinn City Planning Department. Both acknowledgments coming after a meticulous renovation, leading to the launch of Tuljak in 2015.

And the best part? This oasis of style is not only easy to fall in love with, but equally easy to access.
A love affair waiting to happen.

Longing to see you. Again. And again.
